Sagittarius: The Meaning Behind the Constellation

To celebrate the beginning of Sagittarius season, we’re going to explore all there is to know about the star sign’s constellation. Sagittarius is one of the largest constellations in our skies and is made up of many bright stars which form the shape of a teapot.

The myth
The Sagittarius constellation represents a centaur drawing a bow and arrow, and is commonly linked to Chiron, the wise centaur who mentored great Greek heroes such as Achilles and Hercules.

Sagittarius, also known as the Archer, symbolises the pursuit of truth, wisdom, knowledge, and adventure. Its position in the sky is seen as a metaphor for aiming toward higher learning and exploration.
